The best MCP servers for sales

The Harp team ·

We build Harp, which is on this list, so weigh our take accordingly. Every other tool is described from its own website as of the date above.

An MCP server lets your AI agent use a tool directly: search for companies, read the CRM, enroll contacts, send. The useful question is not which server is best, but which job each one does. Most sales setups need one from each group below, and no more, because every server adds tool definitions to your agent’s context.

Data: finding and enriching accounts

  • Apollo MCP. Hosted, with OAuth; works from Claude, ChatGPT and other clients. Company and people search, enrichment, sequences, one-off email, tasks and analytics. Best for: teams already on Apollo’s data.
  • Clay MCP. A local server started by the Clay CLI, for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor: search, enrichment routines and table queries. Best for: GTM engineers who build in Clay.

CRM: the system of record

  • HubSpot MCP server. Remote, with OAuth: read and write access to contacts, companies, deals, tickets and engagements. Best for: teams whose pipeline lives in HubSpot.

Sequencing and multichannel outreach

  • lemlist MCP. Included on all plans, alongside a CLI. Best for: teams that want data, email, LinkedIn and calls in one platform.
  • Salesforge MCP. On the Growth plan with a CLI. Best for: email infrastructure plus LinkedIn senders.
  • La Growth Machine MCP. Runs outreach from Claude or ChatGPT; included on Pro and up. Best for: multichannel sequences priced per sender identity.

LinkedIn

  • HeyReach MCP. Lets agents split lead lists and create LinkedIn campaigns across many sender accounts. Best for: agencies running many LinkedIn accounts.
  • Expandi MCP. Connects an assistant to build lists, draft campaigns and write replies for approval. Best for: cloud LinkedIn plus email.

All-in-one GTM platforms

  • OXYGEN MCP. Hosted, with OAuth, plus a CLI; reaches CRM, tables, enrichment, sequences and agents. Best for: teams that want one broad platform.

Outbound harness

  • Harp (harpgtm.com). The MCP harness for pipeline generation: your agent researches and qualifies with evidence, Harp runs email and LinkedIn sequences, sends from your own mailbox and wakes the agent to answer replies. LinkedIn runs from your real Chrome on your Mac. Runs locally next to Claude Code, Claude Desktop or Cowork. Best for: people whose own agent should run outbound end to end.

How to choose

  • Start with one data server and one place for the work to live.
  • Prefer servers with a few task-shaped tools over ones that expose every endpoint.
  • Know which tools send email or messages, and keep a guardrail in front of them.
  • If your team works from ChatGPT or the web, you need hosted servers.

Questions

How many MCP servers should a sales agent have?

As few as the job needs: usually one for data, one for the CRM or system of record, and one for outreach. Each server’s tools take up context the agent needs for the work.

Which MCP servers work with ChatGPT?

Hosted (remote) servers. Of the ones above, Apollo’s, HubSpot’s and OXYGEN’s are hosted. Harp’s runs locally next to Claude.
