Clay alternatives

The Harp team ·

We build Harp, which is one of the alternatives below, so weigh our take accordingly. Every other tool is described from its own website as of the date above, and we say plainly when one of them fits better than Harp.

Clay is data and workflow infrastructure: 150+ data sources, AI research agents, table workflows, an email sequencer and an MCP server for coding agents. People look for alternatives for different reasons, so the right one depends on which part of Clay you are trying to replace.

If you need contact data and sequences in one place

  • Apollo. Its own contact database, sequences, a dialer and a hosted MCP server that works from Claude and ChatGPT. Best for: data plus sequencing from one vendor.
  • lemlist. A 650M+ lead database with email, LinkedIn, calls, WhatsApp and SMS, and an MCP server on every plan. Best for: data and many channels.

If you want one broad GTM platform

  • OXYGEN. A GTM operating system with waterfall enrichment, a free CRM, multichannel sequences, built-in agents, a CLI and a hosted MCP server. Best for: replacing several tools with one self-serve platform.

If your AI agent should run outbound

  • Harp. The MCP harness for pipeline generation: your agent saves research with evidence, Harp runs email and LinkedIn sequences, sends from your own mailbox and wakes the agent to answer replies; LinkedIn runs from your own Mac. Best for: people whose agent is the operator. Many keep Clay for data and use Harp for the loop.

When to stay with Clay

If data is your bottleneck and you build table-based enrichment and scoring across large lists, Clay is hard to beat. See Harp vs Clay for how the two fit together.

Questions

Can I use Clay and Harp together?

Yes. Your agent can connect Clay’s MCP server and Harp’s at the same time: Clay for search and enrichment, Harp for records, sequences, sending and replies.
